In Loving Memory

Eggers, Robert Alan

June 4, 1948 - October 11, 2026

Passed away unexpectedly early Sunday morning surrounded by loved ones. He was born June 4, 1948 in Clinton, Iowa, graduated from Clinton High School, and earned a degree in Accounting from the University of Iowa in 1973. Robert began his career with the US Department of Agriculture in Nebraska, worked in Kansas City and retired from his thirty-five career in 2008 in St. Louis. In retirement, Robert was an active volunteer serving the Orphan Grain Train among other organizations, served at Faith Lutheran Oakville as a member of the Hospitality Team, was active on the counting team, and facilities maintenance; and he served as a community volunteer with the New England Town subdivision. Robert’s life was guided by his faith in God. Throughout the years, he enjoyed gardening, puttering in his yard, pursued excellence in his golf game, enjoyed reading and traveling to warmer climates. Robert married Molly (Noernberg) in March 1977 and they had two sons, Brent (Lindy), and Dale (Ashley). He cherished being Papa to Landen and Bryce and loved all of his granddogs. Robert’s deep love for family showed through in his quiet manner, subtle humor and wit, and his willingness to do anything for them. Robert was predeceased by his parents, Gertrude and Leonard Eggers and his sister-in-law Donna Eggers. He is survived by siblings, Gary, Warren (Sharon), Sue (Steve), Trude (John), Tom (Angie), and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
