  1. Growing up on Staely Avenue in Affton, I knew the entire Engelbrecht Family. My Sister, Bonnie and I used to play Canasta with Mike and any one else who would be willing to take on us amateurs at the game. We had lots of fun. My Sister and Mike were good Friends and one snowy day I was behind him when he threw a snowball and he accidentally hit me in the nose with his elbow. He was SO apologetic and spent most of the afternoon trying to make me feel better. Mike was always a very caring, patient and extremely nice person. My deepest condolences to all his Family and Friends.

  2. I knew and liked Mike. Worked with him several times when he was a detective in the City and I was with St. Louis County. Always a great guy to know and work with.
