Evans, Lavern D. Jr. “Vern” Monday December 9, 2024. Beloved husband of Terry Ann Evans (nee Bequette). Dear father of Marvin and Jeffrey. Our dear brother, son-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend.

Visitation at Kutis South County Chapel 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd. Friday December 13, 4:00 pm until service at 7:00 pm. Service concludes at the funeral home.

  1. We met on Sunday January 20, 1974 at the house on Virginia. It was a cold snow packed winters night. He was sitting at the poker table with his back facing north, smoking his cigarette and drinking his Busch beer….shuffeling his hand cards as he always did when making a decision. He became my best friend in life. He was always there for me and in all ways. I have loved him until death we parted. I will never stop loving the good person he was and I miss him more than words. May he forever rest in Peace..

  2. I’m so sorry to hear about Vern, Terry! I’m pretty sure he got me through Chemistry our senior year! Such a nice person and patient with me trying to help me understand that difficult subject! I know he will forever watch over you!!😢🥰

  3. So sorry for your loss. We had a lot of good times growing up. We went to the same grade school and played ball and cards after school. We text when the cardinals were playing recently. Had lots of good times doing that. We will pray for you terry to get through this hard times.
