Beloved husband of the late Jacqueline Exler and the late Virginia Exler; loving father of Jane (William Varnum) Exler, Linda (Michael) Limberg, Thomas (Stacy) and the late Steven (Nancy) Exler; dear grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend.

Mr. Exler was a US Army Korean War veteran, a founding member of the St. Louis Banjo Club, American Legion Post # 179 and 40 & 8 Voiture.

Services: Funeral from KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL 10151 Gravois, Wednesday June 2, 12 Noon. Interment JB National Cemetery. Memorials to SSM Hospice & Home Health Foundation, 12312 Olive Blvd., Suite 400, St. Louis, MO 63141 or STL Missouri Veterans Home  Assistance Fund, 10600 Lewis & Clark Blvd. St. Louis, MO 63136, Attn: Rosemarie W. Hauck, or American Legion Post #179  4549 Zamora Dr., St. Louis, MO 63128 appreciated. Visitation Tuesday 3:00-9:00 PM.

  1. One of the best and kindest men I have ever met. I have known Tom for over 18 years, and have placed him at the top of my list as good friend and mentor. Tom always had time to help me and to listen to me. He was a Korean War veteran and a true patriot to his country.

    I will miss him and always love him.
