  1. Uncle Ron was a gentle giant. He was a man of few words, but I loved his excitement when interested in a conversation. He was a great listener. He always wanted to know what was going on in our lives. He always went out of his way to make everyone feel welcomed. I will miss you, Uncle Ron.

  3. Our hearts are broken with the loss of our brother in law Ron. So many good memories. He was always almost as proud of our adult daughters as we are, and he expressed that to us often. Good memories of conversations at Starbucks, and big bear hugs from Ron (he gave the best ones!) He was very much loved, and will be very much missed. We are picturing Ron and Bern having coffee together right about now! Our thoughts and prayers are with Marilyn and their family at this most difficult time. Hoping some comfort will be found in the many good memories shared. Much love to the family.

  7. My condolences to the Faszold family on Ron’s passing. I worked for Ron early in my business career. You could tell that he loved his family and would often relay a funny story about something one of his kids did over the weekend.

    May he rest in peace.

  15. Marilyn, you have been on my mind so often during the last couple weeks and I wondered how your husband was doing . Checking the death notices for a friend of mind today, I saw Ron’s death notice and was surprised to see that he had passed. So sorry for your loss. I truly know what you are feeling and you have my deepest sympathy. Don’t know what I can do to help but will offer my prayers for you as I know you will be needing them. God bless you.

What I will never forget about him is that in even a quick visit, there is no doubt how much he loved and how proud he was of his entire family. Cynthia

  21. You will be missed. I know you are sitting in the family room that nobody was ever allowed to sit on let alone go into that room.

Ron, you were an absolute force of a man; a true gentle giant. You will be so missed. I have had countless discussions about politics, history, and law with you. You never missed a beat and had such an amazing capacity to listen and debate. I loved sitting next to you at all our family gatherings and while we heaped food into our mouths, we filled the air with discussion and laughter. Plus, you gave the best hugs. I can’t believe I won’t get another one. Save a place at the table for me up in heaven and we’ll resume our talks. Love you.

  39. I’m so sorry for your loss. Your dad was always so kind and friendly to Ron and I when we’d run into them at SMMA. It’s always difficult to lose a parent, but seems even harder during this time when you can’t be with friends and extended family. Please know that you are in our prayers during this difficult time. Lean on each other and keep the good memories close to your heart. Give your mom our love.
