I will miss you Uncle Ben.
You will be missed by many. I know you touched your students, friends and colleagues as you did your entire family. I am very blessed to be apart of your life and family.
In every conversation we had I will never forget the energy and compassion you shared and the amazing knowledge to go along with it.

Ben was my friend and my teacher for over 12 years.
He was an excellent educator in every way. Ben even came to my concerts and loved to lace his sentences with lines from arias he knew that I sang. Sometimes, he sang to me and, sometimes, we sang together. Ben and I often talked about our love of Italian food and the customs with which we grew up – Mine in South Philly and Ben on The Hill. I looked forward each week to my lesson with Ben, my Friend and Teacher.Mi manchi Ben. Grazie. Dio ti benedica. Veronica

I am forever grateful to Mr Ben as my language tutor for his knowledge and teaching skills.
Mr Ben’s humor and creativity were seen in his amusing and charming sentences for me to translate.
He shared some of his life experiences and it was plain to see that he had enjoyed them. I shall miss him greatly.
Mrs. Fazio, you have my deepest sympathy. I hope you are comforted by the memories and the caring of your family and friends at this difficult time.

I will miss you Zio Benny.
You were a wonderful Parino (Godfather) and I love you so much.
My favorite memories are our conversations that made me laugh and you playing the guitar at Christmas gatherings and Nonna Gandolfo’s Birthday parties. Ti voglio bene.

I was so saddened and shocked to hear this news. I have so many memories of Uncle Benny. A great sense of humor and a story teller. When seeing him, my sister and I would prompt him to tell us stories of my father as a kid and our grandparents. Those stories only got funnier in the retelling. I remember the food we’d all eat together on Easter at my great grand parents.
Aunt Nina, you are in my thoughts during this terribly sad time. Sending much love your way.

Nina, I’m so sorry for your loss. Ben was a good man. You took such good care of him. Everyday I would see you drive Ben to the library, doctors office and never complained. It was so evident how much Ben adored and loved you. I know that your heart is broken, but know it will heal. Hold tight to all he wonderful memories you shared with Ben. I will be there for you, all you need to do is call.

Dear Nina,
I am so sad to lose dear Benedetto. I was his Italian student for six wonderful years. I know he loved you so much. He used to talk about you all time at the library during our lessons. You would pack him lunches and sometimes he would eat the sandwich you packed for him while we talked. I cannot image how you feel because I am so heartbroken as well. I will miss him so much. He brought so much joy each week for all those years. I looked forward to our conversations. He was a best friend, a mentor and a father figure for me. I really looked up to him and had so much respect for him. Please reach out to me if you need anything.
Love, Margaret
