Bill Federhofer Sr. passed away peacefully with his family by his side on the night of August 31, 2026, at the age of 88. Bill loved his wife, Merle, more than anything in the world. They were married for 60 years, and for just about that entire time, they ran Federhofer’s Bakery side by side. Even as the decades and years passed, Bill kept showing up and putting in the work for as long as he physically could. He cherished the bakery and all the lives he touched while working there. His priorities never wavered: Merle came first, followed right behind by his family, the bakery, and, of course, his golf game. Bill lived a full, good life, worked hard for the people he cared about, and left a lasting mark on everyone lucky enough to know him. Bill is remembered, loved, and cherished by his four children: Cheryl Hrabusicky, Bill Federhofer Jr., Robin Linderer, and Danny Federhofer. Cheryl and her husband, Larry Hrabusicky, have 4 children and 8 grandchildren; Bill Jr. has 2 children; Robin and her husband, Kirk Linderer, have 6 children and 6 grandchildren; and Danny and his wife, Dawn Federhofer, have 6 children and 10 grandchildren. In total, Bill Sr. leaves behind 18 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend whose life was defined by hard work, love for his family, and a steady presence in the community. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

They left quite a legacy for all of you kids and grandkids. I wish I could be at the party Merle and Bill are having in heaven as their souls are finally reunited in their love of each other❤️ blessings on all of you as you grieve the loss of wonderful Bill.

Your Dad, Grandpa Great Grandpa was a true blessing. A very hard worker.Bill & Merle build a landmark in Affton . Bill baking and Merle front of the house excellent customer service and knowing everyone. After I lost my Father to early in my lifetime. My Dad and Bill Master Bakers of there time. Both l think learned at young age my Dad at age 8. They could bake circles around anyone from their knowledge, experience and recipes in their memories. I remember working at The Concord Village Lions Club event at George Winter Park. Bill made his “ famous funnel cakes “ had a line all day. The Lions raised money from this event for charities. All members donated hard work and increments . Once I lost my Dad to early at age 61 I needed a baker for my St.Andrews Restaurant & Pub on 3971 Bayless Road . Bill baked all my pies 🥧 then on and my table tents advertised that. We always had 175 – 200 pies 🥧 to go on Thanksgiving Eve. So My customers then knew Federhofers Bakery and could order their. I made the homemade bread after my Dad, but baking Pies no had to many Restauranteur duties. I still enjoy Federhofer’s Gooey Butter Cake, famous Fresh Strawberry 🍓 Stolen. Donuts 🍩 of course. Then at the Holidays the Christmas 🎄 Cookies. OMG stocked high on display cases hundreds of cookies boxes and larger trays. To ease the rush a customer service good idea, or pick your own. As the family said to make Bill Federhofer rest in peace buy bakery goods from this decades Bakery will be Blessing to Bill & Merle . Don’t forget the decorated cakes for all occasions.
