Beloved husband of the late Magdalena K. Fischer (nee Reitz); dear father of Andrea (Rob) Funke; dear opa of Abby (Paul Gilmore), Ella and Lucas Funke; dear brother of the late John (Evi) and Henry (survived by Rita) Fischer; our dear brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend.

Richard was a longtime member of the German Cultural Society and Deutscher Mannerchor of St. Louis.

Service from KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL, 10151 Gravois Rd. Friday, November 3, 9:15 a.m. to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, 4900 Ringer Rd. for a 10:00 a.m. Mass. Interment Sunset Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to a charity of your choice.  Visitation Thursday 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.

  1. Trude & I wish to express our deepest sympathy to the family of Richard Fischer for their loss. Richard and I have been singing in the German Male Choruses together since the 1950’s. He will be missed dearly by all of us singers here in St. Louis.
