Age 87, Celebrating New Life in God’s Kingdom on Monday April 15, 2024. Beloved husband of Ruth M. Flanigan (nee Schneider) for 62 years. Dearest father of Donna (Dan) Bess, Mike (Donna) Flanigan and Lori (Mike) Buehler. Loving grandfather of Riley and Miranda Bess, Casey (Drew) Pavlik, Jessica Flanigan, Michael Buehler and Becca (Kyle) Olsen. Great grandfather of Lincoln and Ethan. Dear brother of Susie (Glenn) Bremer and the late Carol Kierski. Our dear Brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Ron, aka Cool Guy Ron, the Twinkie Man, Nor Naginalf, Pop, and more, enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved bowling, the Cardinals, the casino, family get-togethers, weekly happy hours with friends, mystery trips, and any celebration.  He made friends everywhere he went and was quick to offer a joke and a beer.  He loved meeting all the people he encountered while working at Hostess and later at Schnucks.

Thanks to all for the friendship, love, and support given to Ron and his family all these years, especially this past year. it means the world.

Ron will be missed beyond words.

Services: A casual (Cardinals attire welcome) Visitation at Kutis South County Chapel (5255 Lemay Ferry) on Tuesday April 23, 4PM until time of funeral at 7PM. In lieu of flowers memorials to American Cancer Society or Esophageal Cancer Awareness Association, appreciated.

  2. I worked with Ron at Schnucks. He was always liked by customers as well as coworkers. He also brought a group of friends to my shows at Queen of All Saints. He was a friend to many and will be missed! Rest in peace Ron!

  6. I loved being in Ron’s presence. Always loved the joke of the day, how he always smelled like vacation because he always wore sunblock, and seeing pictures and hearing stories about his family. They were number 1 in his life. His energy and love for live was intoxicating. You will be missed dear friend. ❤️
