Flavin, Shirley Marie

 

Shirley Marie Flavin, (nee Powell), born on March 3rd, 1935, passed on April 22, at the age of 88.

Beloved wife of the late Michael M. Flavin, loving mother of Lawrence Doyle, the late Suzanne Doyle, Joseph Doyle, and Mary McLaughlin (Donald), dear sister-in-law and aunt.  Shirley was the grandmother of 11, and the great-grandmother of 13.

Shirley’s passion was working in her garden with her beloved dog, Holly.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Missouri Botanical Garden.

The family will gather at Resurrection Cemetery, 6901 Mackenzie Rd., on Thursday April 27 for a 10:00am service.

  3. I am so sorry to hear of Shirley’s passing. I wish I had kept in touch. I can still picture her making jokes and laughing. She definitely kept dad on his toes and made him happy when he was alive.
