Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, Monday, October 2, 2017. Beloved  husband of Christine T. Fleming (nee Screen); dear father of Adam and Matthew (Stephanie) Fleming and Jennifer (Todd)  Deibel; dear step-father of  Stacey (Rick  Haney) Blomberg and Emily (Dan) Lewis; dear grand-father of Matthew,  Samuel, McKenna, Marlowe and Juliette; dear step-grandfather of Elizabeth, Trenton, Katie, Claire, Jack and Liam; dear brother of John (Marsha) Fleming and  Patricia (Ray)  Donner; beloved brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Mr. Fleming joined the St. Louis Metropolitan Police  Department in 1975 and in 1993 he was recognized as Police  Officer of the Year.  He was promoted to Sgt. in 1994.  From 1994 to 1998 he served as Deputy Commander of Public Affairs and retired in 2004.  He was a member of the St. Louis Police Retirees Association.

Mr. Fleming was an accomplished musician and vocalist who toured the country prior to becoming a police officer and  continued to perform throughout the Metro area.  He was an  original member of The Grand Fuzz police band.

Services:  Funeral from KUTIS AFFTON  CHAPEL, 10151 Gravois Rd., Friday October 6, 12 Noon to Epiphany of Our Lord Catholic Church for 12:30 p.m. Mass. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.  Contributions to Annie’s Hope  (www.annieshope.org) or Theresa Twellman CBD Fund (16010 Acorn Valley Court, Ballwin, MO 63021), appreciated.  Visitation Thursday, 4-8 p.m.
