Juliette Freivogel

In Loving Memory

Freivogel, Juliette M. (nee Freiburghaus)

January 17, 1949 - September 18, 2024

Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, Juliette Freivogel passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2024. Julie was the beloved wife of the late Thomas Freivogel; dear father of James (Katharina), Anne, Elizabeth (Eric) Fernandez and Eileen (Michael) Moehlenbrock; dear grandma of Nick, Tommy, Rita, Lucia, Rocco and Frank; dear daughter of the late Otto and Loretta Freiburghaus; dear sister of James Freiburghaus and the late Patricia Conley and David Freiburghaus; dear daughter-in-law of the late Rosemary and Walter Freivogel; our dear sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend.

Julie was a beautiful person who lit up a room with her smile and delighted people with her sense of humor and wit. Julie treasured her time with family and friends and was loved by many. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, always full of love and excitement. Many happy memories were made with her family on family vacations, bike rides, camping trips and float trips on the Missouri rivers, and the grandkids could always count on popcorn and root beer floats at grandma’s house.

Julie was truly a lover of all things outdoors, which eventually led to a career later in life as a horticulturist. However, she was also an artist at heart and took pride in her painting and her early career in graphic design at Maritz.

Julie was loved by so many and made many lifelong friends over the years. She will be missed by all that knew her.

Services: Visitation will take place on Wednesday, September 25th, 4:00-8:00 pm at KUTIS AFFTON, 10151 Gravois. Funeral from KUTIS AFFTON, Thursday, September 26th, 9:15 a.m. to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque for 10 a.m. Mass. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. 1. Words cannot express my sorrow of hearing of Julie’s passing. She was one of a kind. My memories of her start as far back as our Maritz days. Lots of sharing, caring, praying and laughter! Love you, Julie. Say Hi to Tom.❤️

  2. Tom was my boss and I remembered his wife when I would come to visit Tom in his last days at his house. She was a very pleasant lady and was always upbeat especially when sorrow was in her family. I’m sure she treated everyone with kindness like she did with Tom’s workers.

  3. My sincerest sympathy to Jim, Annie, Beth and Eileen and the rest of Julie’s family. Julie’s husband, Tom, and my husband, Denny, were not only first cousins, but best friends growing up. I first met Julie in 1970 and saw immediately what a sweet, kind, genuine lady she was. She also had a great sense of humor and was fun to be around. Rest in peace dear cousin-in-law. Say hi to Tom and Denny for me.
