Frein

In Loving Memory

Frein, Deborah A.

Frein, Deborah A. (nee Sutterer), passed away peacefully at age 47 on June 19, 2017 surrounded by her family.

She waged an inspirational fight against cancer and did so with grace, optimism and sparkling eyes that once again became a teaching moment to friends and family on how to handle adversity. Debbie volunteered for various causes over the years but most notably at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Valley Park and Ursuline Academy High School, both of which were her Alma Maters. Debbie’s decorative talents shined through when she worked on various fund raisers for these organizations. It was as a mother, however, where Debbie left her incredible mark of excellence and finally her legacy. She took her role seriously and relished rather than dreaded the daily challenges of raising three beautiful children. She made her children the sole focus of her life. She took pride in her “job” as a stay-at-home mom and embraced all of the opportunities it provided to utilize her creativity, compassion, humor and many other gifts. She never considered it work, but rather her primary reason for being and by all accounts she was a master at her profession.

She is the beloved wife for 22 years of Christopher J. Frein; dear mother of Emma K., Richard W. and Elizabeth A. Frein; dear daughter of Joan A. and the late Richard L. Sutterer; dear sister of Jeffrey L. (Amanda L.) Sutterer; our dear niece, daughter-in-law, sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend to many.

Services: Funeral from KUTIS AFFTON Chapel, 10151 Gravois, Saturday, June 24, 9:15 a.m. to Sacred Heart Catholic Church (Valley Park) for 10 a.m. Mass. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery (Perryville, MO) Saturday, 2:15 p.m. Contributions to The American Cancer Society or Ursuline Academy High School appreciated. Visitation Friday, 4-9 p.m.
