Our sympathy to Marie and Ernie’s family. We were blessed to know Ernie for many years through the Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement and St. David Prayer Group. Ernie was a model of faith and trust in Jesus.
I was blessed to have met Ernie during a Saturday morning Men’s prayer group and also through the ACTS community. Ernie seemed to be at every Catholic event that took place in Missouri. It is no surprise to see his obituary being so Humble. Instead of listing all the organizations and charities he was involved in, just “Ernie was a proud life-long Catholic”
Ernie, I was proud to call you my friend and brother in Christ.
I tried to follow Ernie’s example of how to lead a truly Christian life.. He was a very special ACTS brother.
Ernie prepared many years for this. He now sees God’s glory.
my sympathy and prayers to Marie and all family and friends. I was blessed to meet Ernie at Perryville Missouri when we prayed at the grotto on the 13th of the month and I knew him for many years.
He called me about a week ago and I was able to come down this past August 12 and stop at the home and pray with him and he gave me his Accordion. I am humbled and blessed to know him. God bless from Kathy Graeve in IA
Ernie was the best!! I loved his dry humor that I never really knew if he was serious or not. He also played a mean game of pool. We had fun conversations on our bus trip to the 50th anniversary conference in Pittsburgh for the Charismatic renewal. I also always saw him “resting in the spirit” at my sister’s Poor Clare convent and was jealous he could sit there any time he wanted to rest with God. I will really miss seeing him everywhere I went and puttering in the garden at Cliff Cave library.
Ernie was a true example of his Catholic faith, and lived it out each and every day. He was a great example for the rest of us and May he rest in Peace,
Ernie was a true example of a “roaming” catholic. He was involved in so many parishes and prayer groups. He touched so many peoples lives. Our Wednesday morning men’s group will not be the same without him. Well done good and faithful servant Ernie.
My sympathy and prayers to Ernie’s family and friends. Ernie visited Cliff Cave Library regularly. He was always pleasant, kind, caring and a friend to everyone. He was truly a devoted and faithful Catholic. He loved talking about his love for Jesus. Ernie reminded me to go to church and follow the Lord. I will miss seeing him at the library. God bless Ernie.
Condolences and hugs to Marie, Ernie’s sister. She will miss him a lot. The greatest tribute we can give to Ernie is to live our lives the way he lived his. He truly spread the Light of Christ everywhere he went and on everyone he met. Until we meet again…

Known Ernie for decades. Beloved brother in Christ by many. His example affected a lot of souls for good. His true devotion to the Divine Mercy is an example for me. All of us men from both QAS and SFA loved Ernie very much. We are better for having known him. May he rest in peace.
I’ll always have fond memories of us discussing Our Lady of Champion Shrine near Green Bay, and also my patron saint Gemma Galgani.
Marie & family, Ernie was a wonderful faith filled person & an example to everyone who knew him of Jesus’s love. His mission on earth is over & he’s enjoying his eternal happiness now. God bless everyone 🙏
I met Ernie on an ACTS retreat a number of years ago. Our paths continued to cross on retreats, meetings and other events and I was always impressed with his joyous and deep faith. May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Ernie, brought his car to my dad’s shop “Faulstich Auto Body’ & he knew a good deal when he got one but Ernie’s real deal was his love of the Lord……he didn’t talk to me much but he loved my brothers…& was a seeker of the LORD everyday!! May his soul rest in peace …..

We were privileged to have Ernie as one of our Lay Associates with the Redemptoristines at Liguori.
My impression of him is that he was a man of deep faith and prayer. He had Faith in the Lord as a priority and lived his life accordingly. Ernie, Enter into the joy of the Lord.

It was a honor and privilege to preside over Ernie’s funeral Mass at St. Francis of Assisi Parish in St. Louis. From the responses of the people, I pretty much captured the human essence of Ernie in my homily. His dedication, faithfulness and devotion to the Catholic faith is an inspiration to us all. At whatever intersection in life we had with him, we all knew Ernie loved God and Church and wanted to help us on our own journey to know and love God. Let his memory, teachings, and example resonate in our hearts and minds. Ernie, pray for us from behind the veil!
