Gannon, Richard T. “Dick” entered into rest on Monday, October 24, 2022. Beloved husband of Shirley K. Gannon (nee James ) for over 60 Years; loving father of Gene (Cindy) Gannon; cherished “Pappy” of  Alec Gannon, Dearest brother of Michael (Catherine) Gannon and the late Thomas (survived by Peggy) Gannon and Eileen (survived by Robert) Malloy; Our dear brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and hero friend to many. Including friend and family in England. His Military career took him to England where he met and married Shirley and where his son, Gene, was born.

Richard proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for over 20 years including the Vietnam War, and assignments to North Dakota, two tours in Germany, Denver, Alaska, and finally St. Louis. Following his retirement as Master Sergeant, he continued serving his country with the Department of Defense for an Additional 20 years. Overseeing special communications projects across the country, including the Washington DC area and the Pentagon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Greater St. Louis Honor Flight at Greater St.Louis Honor Flight (gslhonorflight.org), or a Veteran Charity of your choice appreciated.

Services: Burial was privately Held at J.B. National Cemetery with Full Military Honors. A Kutis South County Chapel Service

  3. in 1994 spent about 6 months down at the pentagon working a special project with dick. mid project i rushed him to the hospital with a kidney stone attack…..he was a hurtin’ puppy and the boss told him to take some time off. but he was back at work the next morning. that’s just the way he was.
