Bill was a neighbor of my and his lovely wife Judee in Pelican Preserve on Valentina Court. They were both wonderful niighbors that all of us felt blessed to know and call friends. I will always remember his thoughtfulness and how well he took care of Judee in her time of need. My condloences to his family and friends and he will be missed. May he and Judee rest in peace together.

Bill was a great friend. I always enjoyed coaching with him, he made things fun. After his move to Florida we would look so forward to our visits for lunch or dinner and maybe a fishing trip.
I will always cherish those memories.

We are sorely missing a wonderful friend and neighbor. From the day he and Judee moved in, Bill was a kind and caring guy, willing to offer a hand when anyone needed one. He had amazing energy until the very end. We are so sad to have lost both of them this year. Rest in peace, our dear friend.

Scott, this is so hard to believe. We have been friends with your Mom and Dad since the early 70’s. Bill and I were Marketing Coordinators for Fox High Schoool. Bill definitely was my “Work” Husband. DECA gave your Dad a career that he enjoyed thoroughly.. We had such fun with the DECA community. He worked hard and the students thought he was a great guy,
When your Mom started coming to our events, we met a very dedicated and loving woman. One thing I always enjoyed was watching them dance together,
Then Florida opened up their new world. Pages and Pages could be written about the great times your Mom and Dad so generously shared with us.
Scott, our hearts go out to you. Just keep all of the great memories of your Mom and Dad close to your heart. We will miss them so much.

I am so very sorry. I had him for I believe Basic Business in the mid-80’s. Mr. Gassaway was very much one of my favorite teachers. I pray his passing was peaceful. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I’m so sorry to just now hearing of Bill’s passing. He was my Social Studies teacher at Oakville Jr. High in 1984, and in 1986 at Oakville Sr. High he was my typing teacher. I loved his dry sense of humor and how he treated us as adults and not as the rotten high school kids we were!! He was loved by so many of us students. RIP sweet Mr. Gassaway. Thanks for the memories!

Very sorry to just learn today of Bill’s passing. He was a great neighbor here at the Veridian subdivision in Ft Myers. He would ride his bike over and just knock on the door, always fun with Bill. We had some good times boating and we went to their new place in pelican preserve to visit and have dinner with both he and Judee. We missed them when they moved but i know they enjoyed their time there. We were at his 70th birthday party at Doc Ford;s restaurant a few years back and it was a whole lot of fun. He and Judee will always be missed by the Tomlins.

It was 1992 and Mr. Gasaway was my COE teacher at Oakville High School. He taught me everything I needed to know about the business world and how to be successful. I had tried over the years to locate him to tell him that he was the most influential educator of my lifetime. Sadly I finally found him when it was too late. I would not have been able to take my pharmacy career into the informatics world without his influence. Your husband and father was a great man. He left the world a better place than when he found it.
