In Loving Memory

Gebel, Sharon Ann (nee Tonkovic)

Sharon Ann Gebel, age 72 entered into rest October 30, 2018.  She was a loving wife, mom, grandma, aunt and friend to so many.  She lived her life on a farm (Gebel Stables) with her husband, children and grandchildren always surrounded by animals. Often it was said she seemed to love animals as much or more than humans.  She was always on the move. Sharon was a stay at home wife and mom, when her children were older she went back to school to become a paramedic.  That accomplishment gave her much admiration and it was just another way she could help others in need. Sharon was a paramedic for many years at Big River Ambulance. Her most treasured was her husband, John Gebel.  She took such loving care of him. Sharon was so very proud of her children and grandchildren, she had a special, but different relationship with each of them.  She spent her days in later years volunteering at the Hillsboro Food Pantry and various animal shelters. Sharon was the type of person that would give you the shirt off her back, she will be deeply missed by many.

Survived by her loving family which includes her husband, John Gebel, son Barclay (Stephanie) Gebel, daughter Stephanie (Scott) Usher, son Jeffrey (Tracy) Gebel, grandchildren, Zackary, Katelynn, Sydney, Merry, Austin, Lauren, Taylor, Raquel, Jack and Reed, and a great grandchild Zander.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her Uncle Jimmy, Aunt Marge, Aunt Delores and Uncle Ralph.

Memorial visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel 10151 Gravois Rd. 63123 on Thursday November 1 from 4:00-8:00 pm.
