Passed away on Wednesday October 7, 2026. Loving husband of the late Sondra K. Georgevich (nee Johnson). Beloved father of Kevin (Pauletta) Mergelkamp and the late Jeffrey Mergelkamp. Cherished grandfather of Alyssa (Jacob) Krausz and Kevin “Brian” Mergelkamp, great grandfather of Elizabeth. Our dear brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend to many.
Rich served his country in the US Army. He retired from local #39 after many years, he enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, going to their ballgames and cheerleading. Rich was a person that would do anything for anyone!
Services; Funeral at Kutis South County Chapel (5255 Lemay Ferry) on Friday October 16th at 8:30AM. Interment JB National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to Folds of Honor appreciated. Visitation Thursday 10/15 from 4-8PM
