Elaine L. Ghirardi, 66, Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Thursday, May 30th, 2024.

She was born on Wednesday, March 19th, 1958 at St. Mary’s Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. 

Beloved wife for 44 years of Michael Lee Ghirardi; devoted mother of Michael A. (Alexandra) Ghirardi and John B. Ghirardi; adoring grandmother of Ava L. Ghirardi, Austin M. Ghirardi, and Alexzander R. Ghirardi; treasured daughter of the late Victor F. and Anna J. (nee Ewers) Schaffer; loving sister of Kathleen (Jerry) Vaughn, Carolyn Weldon, Ronald A. (Michelle) Schaffer, Dolly M. (Don) Hillis, LaVerne A. (Dan) Brown, Eugene J. (Rhonda) Schaffer, Fritz V. Schaffer, Harold J. (Connie) Schaffer, Darren G. (Tammy) Schaffer, and the late Gary R. Schaffer; our dear aunt, great aunt, daughter-in-law, sister-in-law, godmother, cousin, and friend. After 45 years of dedication and hard work Elaine retired as a Business Operations Analyst from US Bank. 

SERVICES: Visitation will be held at KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL (10151 Gravois Rd. 63123) on Friday, June 21st from 4:00 – 8:00 PM and Saturday, June 22nd from 11:00AM – 1:00 PM, with the memorial service beginning at 1:00 PM.

    I learned a lot of higher-level knowledge from my interactions with her, and I am a better employee because of it. I am forever grateful for having known her.
    Please take some comfort in knowing that she is suffering no more and has peace.

  8. I am late with sharing my deepest sympathy to the family for the passing of Elaine. I was on vacation and did not see this. I loved Elaine and highly admired her. Hope you all continue to heal, and each day gets easier. I miss her.
