Gieg-Rogers, Nina Lucile (nee: Irwin)

Nina Lucile (nee: Irwin) Gieg-Rogers, daughter of Forest Irwin and Gladys Lentz, of St. Louis, MO, passed away at 8:30 AM, Monday, October 17, 2022.

Nina Lucile enjoyed her time as a Facilities Director with the Catholic Charities until she retired in 2010. She was an active member in her local church, and served as a resident ambassador at Solstice Senior Living. She enjoyed traveling, reading, and attending live theatrical productions. She had a love for opera music, which she enjoyed until her final days.

Nina Lucile was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was married to Kenneth W. Gieg Sr. from 1947-1978. Nina Lucile and Kenneth W. Gieg Sr. had two children, Norma Lynn (Gieg) Sinclair and Kenneth W. Gieg II. In 2014 she met and later married Philip P. Rogers, who preceded her in death in December of 2021. Nina Lucile is survived by her two children, four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Services: There will be a short visitation at Pearce Funeral Home in Marshall, IL with a graveside service to follow at Marshall City Cemetery on Saturday, November 12th at 11:30 AM.
