Richard Giegerich, Sr. On February 23, 2023 entered into rest, born December 6, 1939 to Eveyln Giegerich in St. Louis Missouri and beloved step son to Verne Siebenaler. Survived by wife Beverly Giegerich (nee Zieres) of 64 years of marriage. Dear Father of Velma (Jim) Tharp, Mary (Jim) Layton, Sandra (Tony) Nickels, Regina (Ricky) Autry, the late Charlotte Ann Giegerich, Belinda (John) Hiatt, and Richard Giegerich Jr. Dear Grandfather of Kally (Mike) Summers, Nicole (Andrew) Minden, Kevin Layton, Angie (Josh) Sherrill, Holly Nickels, Elizabeth (Josh) Whitelaw, Tammy Hiatt, and Brandy Hiatt. Great-Grandfather to Alexis Minden, Andrew Minden Jr., Haley Minden, Sara Summers, Corbin Summers, Emmett Summers, and Finley Whitelaw. Our dear brother-in-law’s, and sister-in-law’s uncle, cousins and friends.

He loved nature, his beloved pets, went to Jefferson Barracks for deer watching and devoted Elvis fan. He was loved by many.

Graveside service at Resurrection Cemetery, 6901 Mackenzie Road St. Louis, Mo. 63123 Tuesday February 28, 12:30 pm

  1. I’m so sorry for the loss of your dad. I remember him as a friendly person who made me feel welcomed when I visited with Mary when I was a young girl at the house. Later, as I grew older, he always welcomed me with a warm smile and a hug. Mr. Giegerich, you will always hold a warm place in my heart.
