In Loving Memory

Gilles III, Charles “Nick”

November 19, 1953 - February 28, 2025

Proceeded in death by his beloved parents, Charles N. Gilles Jr. and Viola (Nischwitz); Husband of Sandi (nee Helton), Father to Tim (Katie) Vonder Haar, Connor (Sarah) Gilles; Paw Paw to Oakley; Beloved brother to Robert (Carole), Uncle and God Father to Robbie all of New York; Brother-in-law to James Helton; Cousin to Janey, Patty and Gale of Texas, Ted, Martha, and Mary of Tennessee, Kathy of Michigan and Harley of Illinois.

Nick was involved in his Fraternity, Delta Sigma Phi and was a die-hard Mizzou Fan. He enjoyed Racquetball for over 40 years and had special friendships with the guys at Vetta. Nick’s passion was baseball and was the happiest when his boys were playing. I want to thank the ICU Nurse’s and Doctor’s at Missouri Baptist Hospital for the care and love they showed Nick and the family.

  9. Sandi, Rob, and family. Chris and I are so sorry to have lost this special guy. Nick and I go back all the way to his infancy when my parents and his, specially bonded by both blood relationship and special friendship, lived next door to us. One of my blessings has been in the past few years to reconnect with Nick on a regular basis for lunches at Tucker’s every few months and sharing old storied and old photos. We were each other’s link to our memories and past. Our condolences and love to all family memebrs.
