Funeral at Kutis South County Chapel 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd. Tuesday, July 28 at 10:30 am. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Member of Mehlville High School Alumni Association. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Washington University School of Medicine or the charity on your choice appreciated. Visitation Monday 4-8 pm.

Roxie was a truly beautiful person, so unique, so genuine. She was someone you never had to ask what was on her mind, she was at times brutally honest, she never meant to be cruel, she simply never minced her words. She loved deeply, her husband, two daughters, grandson and siblings. She was a friend unlike many others. I am so proud that I was her friend, and I will miss her dearly. She fought the fight head on, so strong till the last. I miss you already, until we meet again, all my love and prayers. I said another Chaplet for you and the family again today

There are truly no words to express the depth of my heartbreak over Roxie. Sharing our cancers battles, as well as our Sicilian roots created a deep bond between us that I will carry with me forever. I will treasure the memories of talking about our traditional ways of cooking. Connecting her Gioia and Fiala traditions with my Bommarito roots from The Hill. She fought with grace and strength .Your family are wrapped in my prayers.

Fly on dear cousin Roxie (Rocket!) The Fialas & Bohnerts were always close all my life. I have precious memories of drivng from Festus to your home on Ringer Road while I was growing up w/my parents Cleo & Rohland Bohnert to visit you, your brothers Terry & Bruce & your parents uncle Bill & aunt Erline. We last spoke in person when my wife Lee Ann & I brought you a print of a portrait of our grandparents Otto & Emily Huber. I will miss you severely Roxie. your cousin

My deepest condolences to the whole family for the loss of Roxie. She was a strong woman with a one of a kind personality loved by myself and so many others. Forever treasuring the memories made with her.
So sorry for your loss. I always liked coming over when you lived across the street. I used to have a strawberry patch in the field and mom would come over and pick berries. She would eat half of what she picked!
