Gooding, Warren Michael

83, of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away on 1 September of 2022.

He was born at Deaconess Hospital on 17 September 1938.  Growing up in the St. Louis area, he attended Country Day and Ladue High Schools graduating in 1957.  Attending Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri, he graduated as the Military Honor Graduate commissioning as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army in 1961.  Two years later, he married his wife, Joan Henry, in November of 1963.  As the Vietnam War escalated, he deployed as the Company Commander of a LRRP unit under the 75th Rangers out of Fort Bragg, NC, supporting the 1st Cavalry Division stationed out of Fort Hood, Texas, where he earned the Silver Star for Valor among numerous other awards.   Upon his return from Vietnam, when his father passed away, he took over the family business running ORBON Stoves Incorporated manufacturing state of the art innovative stoves, where he added refrigerators and other appliances, for the American people as a measurable enterprise.  Warren retired from the Army Reserves as a Colonel after serving the country for over 25 years.  He is survived by his wife, Joan of 58 years; daughters, Daun (John Holdmeyer) and Debbie (Stephen Roberts, preceded in death); son, Chad (Susan Meckes); 15 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild.

Interment was held in private at Sunset Cemetery.
