It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Lois Goodman on October 25, 2023 at the age of 85. She leaves behind a legacy of love, selflessness, and unwavering devotion to her family and faith.

Born on September 24, 1938, Lois Goodman dedicated her life to spreading love and kindness to all those around her. She was a devout Catholic and her faith and family were the cornerstones of her life.

A loving wife to Richard Goodman, and a caring mother to their five children, Scott (Terri) Goodman, Amy (Ric) Behnen, Clay (Norah) Goodman, Jill (Bob) Brobson, Kate (Bob) Wacker. Lois was the epitome of maternal warmth and strength. Her nurturing spirit and unending support provided a loving home for her family, and her dedication to her husband and children was unmatched.

Active throughout her life, Lois was a woman of boundless energy, always eager to engage in school and church activities. She was an avid tennis player, an accomplished baker of pies and lover of all holidays.

In addition to her children, she was a beloved grandmother to 12 adoring grandchildren: Lauren Goodman, Jeremy (Amanda) Behnen, Alyssa Goodman, Ryan Behnen, Connor Goodman, Isabelle Goodman, Estelle Brobson, Grace Brobson, Eloise Wacker, Chloe Brobson, Leo Wacker, and Charlie Wacker. Her love and wisdom will continue to be a guiding light.

Lois leaves behind a profound and enduring legacy of love and devotion. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her beloved family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.

Funeral from Kutis Affton Chapel 10151 Gravois Rd. 63123 on Tuesday, October 31 at 8:30 am. to Our Lady of Providence Catholic Church for 9:00 am. Mass. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to Catholic Charities in Lois’s name. Visitation Monday, October 30 from 4-8 pm.

    We have great memories of many events over the years together with Dick and Lois, from our children playing sports, Rams games, theater events, Florida visits, and Sunday morning breakfasts after Our Lady of Providence Masses.
    Rest in peace faithful Lois. You are in a better place. God bless the Goodman Family.

  2. Lois was my godmother, my father’s cousin, daughter of Estelle and Clay Medcalf. She was a gentle, kind, beautiful woman and the world is a better place, having had her for 85 years.

Our memories of Lois are that she was always so happy and caring and that she loved to be surrounded by her family – you guys were her joy and her life.     We were so sorry to hear of Lois’s passing. Many memories of times at Uncle Clay and Aunt Estelle’s home, making homemade doughnuts. Lois was always a fun loving beam of sunlight.
