Oh my. I am so sorry to hear of this news. I worked with Dan at USDA. We were good friends. I remember him as always being kind and I loved his stories. I would always see him at St. Cecelia’s with his mom and dad when I was growing up. He even came to my wedding.
Thank you, Denice, for your nice thoughts about Dan. We will miss his stories, too.
Bob & Lori, I’m so sorry to hear of Dan’s passing. Thinking of you often. Love., Chris. Cymbala Reeves.
Chris, Many Thanks for your kind thoughts. I would love to talk to you sometime and catch up on our lives. Would you be okay with sending me your phone number? I think it would be great fun. I still keep the coffee cup you and Carol gave me with your pictures on it. You were both a great treasure to me.
Yes we certainly need to chat. Wanted to make sure you received my phone number: 919-247-9068.
Chris, I got your message. I’ll call you as soon as get out from under this funeral business. Hope all is well with you and yours. Talk to you soon.
Dan lived on the block I grew up on. He had a genuine interest in the people & places in our neighborhood. I will remember Dan as being well mannered, a real gentleman. Dan was also well read and had a personal library in his basement, possible second only to the Carondelet library. Being in a band in his younger years, playing basketball, writing poetry made him a kind of renaissance man to me.
We were a couple generations apart, that did not stop our friendship it enriched it. I suppose that was one of the main things I learned from our friendship. Farewell Dan
Bob and Lori please know you are in our thoughts and prayers So sorry for your loss
Many fond memories when we were at St Catherine Laboure.
