St. Louis – Patricia Ann (nee Scahill) Greiner, loving wife of 61 years to Dave, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2023.
Pat was born July 29, 1938, in St. Louis, MO to Florence and Harry Scahill. She is survived by her husband, Dave; her children Dave (Lori) Greiner, Carl (Laura) Greiner and Donna (Kevin) Herr; her grandchildren, Kristina, AJ, Anthony (Rebecca), Kim, Zachary (Brenna), Geoffrey, Tommy, Sarah and Tim; and great-granddaughter Adelynn.
She is a beloved sister to Harry (Nancy) and the late Bob (late Kay), late Rich (surviving Jeanine) and late Nancy. She is survived by sister-in-law Susan (late Bud) and cousin Karen (Jay).
She has many names – dearie, mom, grandma, great-grandma, sister, aunt, cousin, friend – and is loved by all. Pat graduated from St. John’s High School in 1956 and maintained a close relationship with high school friends through the years. She was engaged in 1959 and after being married in 1961, she and Dave began a family. She was a stay home mom who instilled in her children the values of love, thriftiness, and compassion. She was frugal, could be feisty, and was a loving care-giver, while never knowing a stranger as she greeted everyone with a smile and open arms.
She found joy in spending time with her family and friends, playing games, traveling and simply being with people. A special thank you to the many people of Laclede Groves for the loving care and friendship they have offered and supplied. In lieu of flowers or memorial gifts we encourage you to spend time with family and friends sharing stories of Pat.
Visitation will be held at Kutis Funeral Home (10151 Gravois Rd., St. Louis, MO 63123) on Friday, January 20 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Saturday, January 21 at St. Margaret of Scotland (3854 Flad Ave, St. Louis, MO 63110) at 10:00 AM with interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
