  5. Mark and I have known each other for over 40 years. The last time we conversed, via text was on June 16, 2021. He was a great person and perfect gentleman. He always was full of mischief and always had a smile on his face. Times were hard for Mark when I first met him but he seemed like he got thru anything that he got himself into or that others would have caused. I went to my first Midnight Mass at his church with him. We had gone to a young peoples outing when we first started dating. When following the church bus home, we got pulled over by the police because the license of the car was expired! You see, Mark was just out of the Coast Guard and didn’t have time or maybe take the time to get them updated. After Mark had told the police officer that he was just out of the Coast Guard, he was let go and out of the ticket. Later when we went back to my church, he reached under the seat in which I was riding in, pulled out a bowl with a lid, opened it up, and asked if I knew what was in it and I said no. He said that it was pot and then he proceeded to spill it over the hillside. I have many other stories about Mark but this is just one of them.
Mark, you were truly a great friend and I already miss you. I know I made it to your first 2 marriages and missed the last due to circumstances out of my control, but you know that if I could have made it, I would have. Anyway, you are in a way better place than we are here on earth but when the trumpet sounds, you will beat me up in the air but I will catch up with you in Heaven!!! Love and miss you dear Friend. See you soon!!!!

  7. My friend Mark Grogan…. he was a giant of a guy with a heart to match… he was a father husband , brother, and recently a proud grandfather, He was one of my best friends for many years. He had a unique sense of humor, he loved hockey and didn’t brag but I sense him to have been a great player. He was defiantly passionate about the sport! There are friends in life and family and if your lucky you have friends that become family and Mark was that for me. . He was someone I could count on. Even if it was just his silent presence as was the case a couple years ago when I was sick and in ICU. I opened my eyes to find Mark reading the paper waiting for me to wake up. his father had passed away recently and he was struggling with the loss, but still took the time to again be there for me. He didn’t advertise his skills at babysitting but he was a great one he babysat for me with great patience and listen to there stories and I’m sure wiped a few tears ! Mark presence in my life will never be forgotten and I hope that in some small way he knew how much he meant to me. He was taken so suddenly . .. That’s the thing about death , dying we always think we
