It is with great sadness that the family of Chase Guerrero announces his passing at the age of 98 in St. Louis, MO.
GONZALO “CHASE” GUERRERO
October 2, 1926 – August 5, 2025
Chase was a devoted husband to Shirley (nee Stephens) with whom he shared 56 years of marriage. He was a loving father to his son Ernesto Guerrero and daughter Angela (James) Carpenter. He was also a proud grandfather to his 5 grandchildren; Alex, Stephanie, Lauren, Hayley and Chase and his great grandchildren. He was a caring son, brother, father, brother-in -law, father-in-law, uncle, great uncle and friend to many.
Chase was preceded in death by his parents, Severo (Sam) and Maria Guerrero; his wife, Shirley; 3 brothers, Willie, Gilbert and Clem; 3 sisters, Chelo, Lupe and Toni.
He is survived by his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sister, Josie and brother-in-law Richard Atwell; sister-in-law, Dottie Whaley Guerrero (Clem); and many loving nieces and nephews.
Chase was a proud Navy Veteran and served during World War II and Korea.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 12th from 4-8 pm at Kutis Funeral Home, located at 10151 Gravois Rd., St. Louis, MO 63123.
Funeral Service will be Wednesday, August 13th at 11:30 am at Kutis Funeral Home, located at 10151 Gravois Rd., St. Louis, MO 63123.
The service will be followed by a procession to the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery located at 2900 Sheridan Rd., St. Louis, MO 63125.

Ernie and Angie. I’m so sorry to hear this. Your dad was such a kind and gentle man. I loved, admired and respected him so much. And fighting for our country in 2 wars. WOW. What a life. Know you are all in my prayers and thst I miss you. I plan on trying to attend the service Wednesday. Love you both.

I t was my honor to be friends with your Dad. He had such a kind and gentle manner. He was one of the best men I ever knew.
We worked many hours together at Grasso Field, played softball there and downed a few on many a float trip . May he RIP.
