In Loving Memory

Hainsworth, Marcella “Marcy”

March 10, 1950 - September 1, 2026

Marcella “Marcy” Hainsworth (nee: Meyer), age 76, of Imperial, Missouri, passed away peacefully September 1, 2026, at home with her husband by her side.

On March 10, 1950, in St. Louis, Missouri, Marcy was the third of five children born to Levoy and Helen Meyer. She was a graduate of Mehlville Senior High School and went on to marry her childhood sweetheart and neighbor, Norm.  A couple of years later they welcomed their son, Mark. During their time together, they lived in St. Louis City, St. Louis County, Arnold, and Imperial, Missouri.

As a working wife and mother, Marcy balanced career, family, and managing the home with grace. She retired from Storz Medical Instrument Company (Bausch & Lomb) after twenty-five years of loyal employment as a convention event planner.

Marcy spent time outside the home in fellowship with friends, fellow believers, and various church and community groups over many years. She served her church in the nursery, taught Sunday school, sang in the choir, and greeted with the welcome team. She was a member of many different small groups at church and other ministries. Her legacy is the love, joy and kindness she poured into every life she touched.

Marcy is survived by her husband, Norman; her son, Mark; daughter-in-law, Janice (Thomas); and Chloe Kell with whom she held a special relationship as “Grammy”.  She is also survived by her younger siblings, Margaret “Peggy”, and Mark; along with extended family and many dear friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Levoy “Micky” and Helen Meyer; and older siblings Mike and Mary.

Services:  A visitation will be held at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd. on Thursday September 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. until service at noon, with burial at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

  2. Marcy always had a smile and the very best hug. Her sincere kindness has been a blessing to us for years. We are honored to have counted Marcy (and Norm) as our friends. Marcy will be missed here, but so grateful to know where her forever home is and that she is there now because of her belief in our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Sorry I am out of town for her services- I will be thinking about you all and praying for you.
Praise God for the promises he gives us- knowing where our Godly moms and dads are and knowing we will get to be there with them for eternity and we will see them again.

  5. I never met her, but I would see her at the entrance to the church auditorium on Sundays at the old building and the new building. We would say hi/good morning to each other. I can’t explain it, but I felt a connection with her❤️
    Rest in peace, Marcy❤️
