Faye Leah Hallemann (nee Bauer) passed away September 7, 2019 at the age of 85. Born on October 17, 1933 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Clarence and Mary (nee Horner) Bauer, she enlisted in the Navy after high school and later became the beloved wife of the late Frank Hallemann for 57 years. Faye was preceded in death by her brother, Clarence Bauer, and her daughter, Mary Rose Hallemann.
Faye remained a loving mother to her four surviving children and their spouses, Gail Hallemann, Lynn (Mathew) Rueger, Leah (Rick) Fontana, and Paul (Angela) Hallemann; a devoted grandmother to Jarrod Hallemann, Connor Hallemann, Peyton Hallemann, Nick Fontana, Kyle Fontana, and Kallie Fontana; a dear aunt to Chris Faser, Steve (Gizelle) Faser, Jeane Bauer, Jim Bauer, Mike Bauer, and a cherished sister-in-law and friend.
Faye worked many places during her career as a secretary, including McDonnel Douglas (for the US Navy) and the Defense Mapping Agency, where she met Frank through a bowling league. She enjoyed dancing, attending church, playing pinochle, swimming with her best buddies, hugging all her furry pals, talking to everyone she met, and watching sports of all kinds. Faye’s kids and grandkids were the love of her life and she was so very proud of them.
Memorial visitation at Kutis Funeral Home Affton, 10151 Gravois Rd., on September 21, 2019 from 1-3 p.m. followed by a memorial service.
