In Loving Memory

Hamby, Bert H.

April 5, 1983 - August 6, 2026

Bert H Hamby, 43, of St Louis, Missouri born April 5th, 1983, in Centerville, Illinois, died Thursday August 6th, 2026, at his residence.

Bert was employed by MPS of St. Louis, Missouri.  Bert will be remembered for his infectious, booming laugh that could fill a room, his endless silliness that kept everyone smiling, and his gift for conversation. A true talker, he was always ready with a story, a joke, or a discussion that could stretch on for hours. His warmth, humor, and larger-than-life personality brought people together and left lasting impressions on everyone fortunate enough to know him.  Above all else, Bert was a devoted father and his greatest joy in life was being their dad.  He was deeply devoted to his fiancée, Rachel, whom he loved with his whole heart. She was his best friend, his confidante, his partner,

Bert proudly served as a Cavalry Scout in the United States Army and was incredibly proud of his country.

Bert was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Elizabeth Wilburn and paternal grandparents Archie and Ruth Hamby, as well as his godparents, Diana Wiemer-Czapla and Jeff Thomsen.

Bert is survived by his fiancée, Rachel; his children, Chase-Sasha,  Cecelia, Adrianna, and Harper; his mother and father, Cissy Hamby (Wilburn) and Carson Hamby; and his beloved sisters  Becky Hamby (  Dustin Coopman) and Anna Mastin; his nieces, Faith, Zoey, and Mia; along with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss him greatly.
