In Loving Memory of Kevin Mark Joseph Hamilton
June 30, 1958 – October 16, 2026
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Kevin Mark Joseph Hamilton, age 68, of St. Louis, Missouri , who passed away peacefully on October 16th, 2026, in his home.
Born on June 30, 1958, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Beatrice Meyer and Paul Hamilton. Kevin was a beloved brother, husband, father, grandparent, uncle, and friend. Throughout his life, Kevin was known for his love of hockey, especially the St. Louis Blues and football, with his favorite team being the Oklahoma Sooners.
Kevin found joy in playing golf, coaching his kids sports, attending his grandkid’s activities, and was a great athlete growing up. He especially loved a good glass of wine or whiskey, a cold beer while sitting outside, while smoking his grape flavored cigars. Every morning starting with coffee and a sweep through the Post Dispatch, always working on the crossword puzzle until it was done. Kevin loved telling stories, learning every trade to build and create what he wanted, and being a source of advice to his family and friends when they called. Everyone that came in his presence was fortunate to get to know him and spend time with him.
Above all, Kevin cherished his family and friends. He will be remembered for his contagious laugh, mainly brought on by storytelling with family and friends, most recently, watching his favorite comedian, Matt Rife, or watching a good episode of a favorite show. Though his passing leaves an immeasurable void, the memories and love shared will remain forever in the hearts of those left behind.
Kevin is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Hamilton, loving Dad to Jessica (Hamilton) Haman (and her husband, Jared) and Joshua Hamilton, Grandfather to Piper Hamilton, Aubrey Haman, Owen Haman, and Violet Hamilton. Kevin was a loving Stepfather to Kendra (Tom) Frentzel and Wade (Ronna) Kramer, Step grandfather to Gavin (Addison Houlihan) Steffans, Quinn (Anna Mueller) Steffans, Parker Kramer, Payton Kramer, and Troy Frentzel. Kevin was a loving Brother to Pamela Miles, Charles Hamilton and an Uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Kevin was preceded in death by his siblings, Patrick Hamilton and Timothy Hamilton.
Kevin was a proud Splicer Technician with Southwestern Bell/ATT and retired in June 2010.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 8th, 2026, as an Open House from 12:00pm to 4:00pm at Arnold VFW, 2301 Church Road, Arnold, MO 63010.
