Passed away on Tuesday, October 28th, 2025.
Beloved mother of Jay Harkey and Erik (Jen) Harkey; adoring grandmother of Gwen, Eliana, Charlotte, and Xavier Harkey; dearest daughter of the late George and Irene McClanahan (nee Schwandt); loving sister of George (Donna) McClanahan and Barb (the late Don) Fletcher; cherished aunt of Lori McClanahan Wright, Lisa McClanahan, Angie Grobe, Julie Dickerman, Jeff Fletcher, and Amy Maddox; our dear great aunt, cousin, and friend to many.
She will be remembered for her love of fashion and her sense of style. She enjoyed art, music, and dancing.
Family meant everything to her. She loved to hear about her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She enjoyed talking on the phone with her friends and relatives. She especially treasured the time spent with her sister and best friend, Barb, who was by her side through good times and bad.
In lieu of flowers, contributions made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, are greatly appreciated.
SERVICES: Funeral at KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL (10151 Gravois Rd., 63123) on Monday, November 3rd, 12:00 PM. Interment at Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation on Sunday, November 2nd, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM.
