Harris, Kathleen Ann

June 13, 1972 – September 3, 2023

Beloved daughter of the late Donal W. and Mary Ellen (Krumrey) Harris. Loved baby sister of Ann (Dan) Bene, Dennis (Sue) Harris, Sheryl (Keith) Wunderlich, Donna (Lonnie) Krysl, Tim (Paula) Harris, and Chris Harris.  Proud aunt of Leland, Louis, Theresa, Valerie, Phoebe, Donal, Joel, Ryan, Brad, Tracy, Mark, Scott, Doug, Austin and Ella.  Also aunt to 16 great nieces and nephews.

Kathy spent her childhood in Kirkwood and then moved to Cedar Hill in 1988.   Kathy was employed at Jeffco Subcontracting for 15+ years.  After the deaths of her parents, she moved to My Place Residential in Festus.  Kathy was an active member of Next Step for Life, where she participated in many social activities such as dances, dinners out, movie nights and trips to some of her favorite places such as Branson and Graceland.  Kathy was a huge Elvis fan and she also loved country western music.  She loved to dance.   She earned many medals from Special Olympics for bowling, track and field and swimming.  She loved spending time with her siblings, going to lunch, shopping, playing Uno, attending family birthdays and holidays. One of her absolute favorite things was taking rides in Tims hot rod. Kathy was loved dearly.

Kathy’s siblings are extremely grateful to the staff at My Place Residential and the staff at Scenic View Nursing and Rehab for the excellent and loving care she received over the years.

Services; Funeral mass at Annunciation Catholic Church (12 W. Glendale Rd. Webster Groves 63119) on Friday 9/8 at 9:30AM Interment Oak Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The Down Syndrome Association of Greater St. Louis https://dsagsl.org/  or the Alzheimier’s Association https://www.alz.org/greatermissouri.  Visitation Thursday 4-8PM At Kutis South County (5255 Lemay Ferry)

  1. Such a beautiful picture and tribute to Kathy! You all were such a great support system for her after your parents passed and I know she felt the love you had for her. I am truly sorry for your loss. I pray you all find peace and comfort in her passing. I bet she had the most beautiful journey and I bet your mom and dad were standing there, waiting and greeting her with their arms wide open!
