  1. Our love and condolences to Julia, Judy, David, Debbie, Matthew, Lisa and Steven.

We were fortunate enough to meet Nancy, though only briefly, and she was lovely. But over the years, through Jules, we came to know a little bit more about her.

We knew she was keen at cards—and I’m quite confident I never would have won a bridge hand against her. We knew she loved Alfredo sauce, particularly from Alfredo’s in Rome. If you were headed to Florence, Nancy knew just the place to find the best wallet. And if you were traveling almost anywhere, chances were Nancy had already been there and had a tip to share.

It’s funny how you can come to know someone through the stories of a person you love. Nancy was very much a part of our knowing and loving Jules, and we’re grateful for that.

We’re holding all of you close in our hearts and sending much love.

  2. We were fortunate to share times with Nancy at David and Debbie’s home. Talking with her gave you insight into a life we’ll lived. Many conversations with Nancy expresslng her love for traveling but also her love for education, teaching and learning herself. She would tell you that no student would leave her classroom unable to read and so much more. Nancy was a woman of high morals class and sophistication. She will be missed by many!

  3. Julia, we are thinking of you and your family at this special time of Nancy’s passing. We enjoyed meeting Nancy. Though just a short visit, I could feel her strength of character and understand how she reared such a strong daughter. I know you will all miss her terribly. Though it is a cliche, she indeed is at peace now. We love you and hope to visit with you soon.

  5. Your Mom was a bridesmaid for my Mom (Lois and George Z.) Mon and Miss Nancy would have lunch together after your father passed away. Miss Nancy would take Mom all over St. Louis and try different eateries. Miss Nancy was one of the most outgoing person I have ever met. Miss Nancy would tell Mom all kinds of stories about wildlife in Florida. I send you my deepest sympathy.
