Beloved son of the late Thurman and Verda Hawthorne; loving father of Deborah (Fred) Clinton, Brenda (Donald) Leverett, Kenneth (Jenny), Kevin (Cindy) and Vernon (Stephanie) Hawthorne; dear grandfather of Kelly, Jeny, Anthony, Kimberly, Fred Jr., Allie, Shelby, Austin, Hannah, Haley, Cody, Colton, Savannah, Annabel, Alexander, Vincent and Francis; dear brother of Lee Roy (Carole) Hawthorne, Lois (the late Ronnie) Bell and James Hawthorne and the late Doris Holt and Shirley Vandergriff; dear great grandfather, great-great grandfather, uncle and friend.

  2. Vern, you were a great friend. I am happy to call you a friend and neighbor for the past 15 or so years that you were on Barto Dr. One of the best neighbors a person could ask for. I will always be thankful for you helping my Father and I whenever you could. Our last conversation was July 1st. Miss ya buddy.
