Heimos, Dorothy Ann

Dorothy Ann Heimos of Imperial, MO died June 5, 2024 at Mercy Jefferson Hospital in Crystal City, MO, at the age of 87. She was born in Kimmswick, MO on January 18, 1937. She was the daughter of the late William P and Ruby B (Kohler) Schierhoff.

She was proceeded in death by her husband of 37 years Norbert Jacob Heimos.

She was retired from Alumax Aluminum where she was a shipping clerk for 33 years. She was a member of St Joseph Catholic Church in Imperial and was one of the Prime Timers. She was a member of The Ladies Axillary Knights of Columbus Council 2333. She was an avid quilter and made a quilt for every member of her family as well as many friends. She loved going to watch the Cardinals at Busch Stadium and when she wasn’t able to attend a game you would find her watching them on TV.

She is survived by 4 Children; Donald (Cynthia) Heimos, Diane Kopp, Barbara Heimos, and Frank Heimos. 6 grandchildren; Robert (Lori) Heimos, Kenneth Heimos, Michelle (Chris) Conway, Kathryn LaBruyere, Christopher (Jessica) Kopp, and Kyle (Kristie) Kopp. 11 great-grandchildren; Lorin, Lee, Dakota, Samantha, Kelsi, Brilynn, Emerson, Gavyn, Lydia, Lilly, Oakley, and Credence. 5 great-great grandchildren; Kiley, Paisley, Eliott, Wyatt, and Caroline.

She was also proceeded in death by a sister Anna Swaller, a brother Anthony Schierhoff, and son-in-law David Kopp

Services: Visitation at Kutis South County Chapel 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd on Tuesday, June 11 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A prayer service will be held at 9:30 am on Wednesday June 12, 2024 at the funeral home followed by Funeral Mass at 10:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church Imperial, MO. Interment St. Jospeh Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the American Diabetes Association.

  2. To the Heimos and Kopp families and all of Dorothy’s grand and great grandchildren, I send sincere condolences. It is never easy to say goodbye to those we love. May God be with each of you who loved and will miss Dorothy.

  3. Dorothy was always a beacon of light in a room. Her smile was kind and heart was filled with love for everyone. My mom (Gerri Kohler) and her shared their love and passion for the Knights of Columbus (Council 2333) through the Ladies Auxillary.
    I could always count on seeing Dorothy at the quilt social. She would call Mom to see if she was coming.
