Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, Thursday, September 26, 2024. Beloved husband for 59 years of the late Michele A. Helein. Loving father of Jill (Glenn) Zimmerman, Jim Helein Jr., Amy (Joel) Lay, Mark (Jenee) Helein, Laura Hanner and Ellen (Jason) Humrich. Dear grandfather of 18 and great-grandfather of 3. Dear brother of Charles (Kate) Helein. Our dear uncle, brother-in-law, friend and coach.

Jim served his country honorably in the Army National Guard

Services: Visitation at St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Catholic Church, 4900 Ringer Rd., St. Louis, MO 63129, Monday, September 30, 9:30 am until funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (stjude.org).

  1. The family of Jim Helein has my sympathy and I I was sorry to see that he passed away. I live in Orlando and tremember playing baseball at SLUH and SLU. And I remember winning the national baseball at Altoona, PA. Jim is a great friend and I will say prayers for him and his family!God bless you Jim!!

  3. My condolences to the family that Jim has loved & cherished through all his years as father & grandfather. He was a good friend & support to me. He was so proud of the beautiful family he and Michele raised and all the accomplishments they achieved
