Hellwig, Marilyn Joyce (nee Ira), 82, passed away peacefully at home on July 26, 2025. Marilyn was welcomed into her eternal home by the loving arms of Jesus. Cherished daughter of the late Paul and Ola Ira (nee Sharpe). Beloved wife of Alfred C. Hellwig for almost 60 years. Dear mother of Michael (Lisa) Hellwig and Jessica (Terry) Wilkerson. Dear grandmother of Devon, Brendon, Sophia, Adelyn and Heidi. Dear great grandmother of Jeffrey. Dear sister-in-law, cousin, “aunt” and friend to many.
Marilyn never met a stranger, and always had a warm, welcoming smile.
Services: Memorial visitation at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd. Saturday August 30th, from 1-3 p.m. Service to follow in the Chapel at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations to Macular Degeneration Assn. appreciated.
I will always remember how Marilyn exuded joy. Rest in the peace of Jesus.

Marilyn was a true blessing for Tortuga. Always a friendly smile and a coordinator for the coffee and donut social gatherings. God blessed us with Marilyn and now God is blessing heaven with Marilyn.
Your “old friends” will dearly miss you. Cards, lunches, dinners with high school friends will always be part of our memories.
