In Loving Memory

Hemenway, Ann Manley

May 25, 1966 - July 4, 2024

Hemenway, Ann Manley (nee Bossert) Age 58, Celebrating New Life in God’s Kingdom Thursday, July 4, 2024. Beloved wife of Kevin A. Hemenway for over 28 years. Dearest mother of David B. Cook, Jr. and Luke Hemenway; loving grandmother of Alycia and Oziah Cook; dear daughter of the late Martha Bossert and Rudy (survived by Rochelle) Bossert; dear sister of John (Denise) Bossert; dear sister-in-law of Michele Hemenway (Hans) Peterson, David (Rosie) and Daniel Hemenway, Susan (Mike) LaBrier and the late Stephanie Hemenway; our dear niece, aunt, cousin and friend.

Ann cherished her relationship with God and felt called to work with individuals with unique abilities and challenges. In 2004, she started the Hemenway Treatment Family Home to house young men that could no longer be with their biological families.  For twenty years, Ann would take kiddos into her home to assist reunification with their families. Helping well over fifty clients, Ann would coordinate plans to incentivize behaviors more suitable for family living. She also collaborated with schools and employers so the kiddos could become contributing members of the community.  Ann also trained parents in the “Love and Logic Parenting” program. It was common to hear her say “we get so many more blessings from these kiddos than we give them.”

Ann loved cooking and baking and was thrilled when she could see others enjoying her creations, especially during the holidays. She enjoyed music and a great find at a thrift store was a cause for celebration.   And if she was watching television, there was a good chance Dateline or Dr. Phil was on the screen.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Feed My People and/or patronize your local thrift store/food pantry for your own great find.

A Celebration of Ann’s Life will be Saturday, July 13 at 11:30 AM at Crosspoint Church at 5001 Little Rock Road, St. Louis, MO 63128, with Visitation at 10:30.  The family will also be celebrating Ann’s life at Llywelyns at 17 Moody Avenue, Webster Groves, MO 63119 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM.

  19. Kevin – what a lovely tribute to Ann. So happy you found a great partner, and using your words, that you “won the lottery” with having her by your side. Couldn’t get any better than that!!
