Hemmann, Robert E. “Bob” Monday, August 3, 2026, at the age of 84. Beloved husband of Joyce Hemmann (nee Hadler). Dear father of Mark (Darla) Hemmann and Kristine (Thomas) Vanek. Dear grandfather of Parker, Taylor, Makayla and Payton Hemmann, Madison (Chris) Whelan and Paige (Caleb) Helmick. Dear brother of Gary (Mary) Hemmann and Edward (Claudia) Hemmann. Dear son of the late Edwin and Ruth Hemmann of Uniontown, Mo. Dear brother-in-law of Donna (Jim) Stabile, Goldie (Ron) Bock and the late Wallace (survived by Evelyn) Hadler and Curtis (Charlotte) Hadler. Our dear uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend.
Bob was a former member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau and was active in the Cape Girardeau Pilot’s Club. He belongs to the SEMO Boosters Club and was a member of the Kiwanis. He also loved playing tennis, traveling and spending time at the farm.
Bob Graduated from New Haven High School and Southeast Missouri State University with a Business degree. He was drafted into the army in 1968 and stationed at the Pentagon before enjoying a long and distinguished career developing software solutions for multiple area hospitals, eventually retiring from Gilster Mary Lee. Throughout his career, he created and implemented numerous computer programs that improved operations and solved complex challenges. He was respected for his technical expertise, dedication, and innovative approach, leaving a lasting impact on the organizations and people he served.
Memorial visitation at Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, Tuesday August 18 at 10:00 am until memorial service at 12:00 noon. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Flowers or contributions to the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection Music Ministry appreciated. Kutis South County service.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Bob was a good man with a great heart. I was blessed to be hired by Bob in 1981 & work with him for many years. Sending love & prayers for peace to you all. May you find strength & comfort in knowing that Bob is in the arms of his maker and that you (we) will all reunite in Heaven, when God calls us home.

Bob and I worked several years together at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo. Bob was a very competent data processing department director and a very kind and respected man. Our deepest sympathy goes out to Joyce and the family.
