Hemme, Nancy H.

Age 88, of Columbia, MO (formerly Imperial, MO) passed away at 7:45 am on Sunday, September 29, 2024, at Cedarhurst Assisted Living in Columbia, MO.

Nancy was born on August 15, 1936, in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of the late Joseph and Dorothy Hollingsworth.  She married Chester Hemme on March 17, 1956, at First Baptist Church of Arnold.  Together they shared 62 years of marriage until he preceded her in death on April 30, 2018.  Nancy was the mother of Michael (Cynthia) Hemme; loving grandmother of Sarah (Briar) Huddleston, Jared Hemme, Hannah (Ben) Duncan, Coline Duncan, Samuel (Kaitlin) Duncan, and dear sister to Jerry (Carolyn) Hollingsworth.

Nancy graduated from Herculaneum High School in May of 1954.  She was an Administrative Assistant for 30 years at Defense Mapping Agency.  Nancy was a charter member at First Baptist Church of Arnold and the pianist for 38 years, along with Chester as their worship leader.  Nancy was also the pianist at FBC Afton, Bayless Baptist Church, and FBC Cahokia, IL following her service at First Baptist Church of Arnold.

Services: Visitation at Kutis (South County) Funeral Home 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd. on Sunday, October 6, 2024, from 2:00 – 5:00.

Funeral service at Kutis (South County) Funeral Home on Monday, October 7, 2024, at 10:00.  Interment will immediately follow at Park Lawn Cemetery. Memorial: Donations are appreciated to;  American Cancer Society
