Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, Thursday September 25, 2025. Beloved husband for 71 years of Patricia M. Hermann (nee Perkinson); loving father of Robert, Mary (Robert), Laura (Patrick), Susan, Daniel (Beth), James (Lindsey) and the late Thomas; dear grandfather of 14 and great grandfather of 6; dear son of the late Henry and Amelia (nee Muller) Hermann; was the last surviving brother to the late John, Richard, Dorothy and Helen; dear uncle of 15 surviving and 3 deceased nieces and nephews.
Mr. Hermann was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was honorably discharged after serving as an airplane mechanic during the Korean Conflict.
He was a retired mechanical engineer. He graduated from the University of Missouri and received an advanced degree from the University of Missouri-Rolla.
He was an active member of several catholic parishes where he served as lector, led the Rite of Christian Initiation for 8 years, fundraised for the Bishop’s annual appeal, was a member of a charismatic prayer group. He held a strong devotion to St. Anthony.
Services: Funeral from Kutis Affton Chapel 10151 Gravois Monday September 29, 10:30 to Holy Redeemer Catholic Church for 11:00 AM mass. Interment Calvary Cemetery. Memorials to Missouri Special Olympics https://support.specialolympics.org/ appreciated. Visitation Sunday 3:00-7:00 PM.
