  1. I’m so sorry to hear of Whitey’s passing! What an inspiration and example of character and humility to all. I remember watching all of the Cardinal’s games through the 80’s but kept up with him ever since. Loved, loved, loved Whitey! Thank you for living life to its fullest!

  2. The greatest of all time. His will always be talked about in the Cardinals household. What would Whitey do!!! Such a great loss. Prayers to the family for this difficult time and Whitey you are back at the field in Heaven i am sure of that!!!

  3. He is a Legend! I followed “Whitey Ball” the entire time he was our Manager! Rest in peace. Tell Augie Busch Sr hello. Bruce Sutter too. My entire family is still in shock. I was there in 1982 for Game 7 when we won the World Series with my brother. Awesome memories that will NEVER be forgotten!

The world was graced with his presence and will be missed. There is A Hole in the World now. Bless your family for letting us borrow him for a little while.

  5. I will always remember Whitey arguing with my Grandma Rose(rest her soul) at Wash n’ Dri over her laundry, his laundry, and EVERYBODY ELSE’S LAUNDRY! Rest in peace, you lucky b—–d!

  6. I am saddened by his passing, yet happy to have gotten to know “Whitey”. My condolences to his family. Someone once said, “It only takes a moment to make a memory that lasts a lifetime.” Can you just imagine how many lifetimes this is going to take? God bless my friend, and ’till we meet again . . . .
