Patricia Ann Hickel, born February 13, 1938, passed away on November 1, 2026, at the age of 88.
Patricia was the daughter of the late Charles McDonnell and Evelyn McDonnell (née Riedel). She was preceded in death by her sister, Kathleen (Tony), and her brother, Michael (Marcella). She is survived by her brother, Tim (Joann).
Patricia was the beloved wife of the late John (Jack) Hickel and loving mother of Deborah Kloeppel (John), Mary Ellen Paule (Douglas), and Michele Becker (Christopher). She was a proud grandmother of 13 grandchildren and a cherished great-grandmother of 25 great-grandchildren, all of whom held a special place in her heart.
Patricia had a personality all her own — a true pistol. She knew what she liked and wasn’t afraid to speak her mind, but she also had a way of making everyone feel welcome and like one of her own. Her warmth, honesty, and unmistakable personality made her someone you wouldn’t soon forget.
She enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, whether that meant making a trip to the boat to try her luck, spending her winnings on late-night QVC, enjoying her favorite donuts, or cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals football team during their glory days. She also spent part of her working life at Sears.
Above all, Patricia treasured her family, especially her grandchildren. She leaves behind a lifetime of memories, laughter, and love that will carry on through the generations. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
Services; Funeral from Kutis South County Chapel (5255 Lemay Ferry) on Thursday, November 5, 2026 9:15AM for 10AM Mass at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Interment Sunset Cemetery. Visitation at Kutis Wednesday 4-8PM
