Passed away on Sunday, July 7th, 2024.
Beloved wife of William “Bill” D. Hillier; devoted mother of Kayce Hillier and Megan (Matt) Hawkins; adoring grandmother of Caden, Hudson, Colton, and Brooklyn Hawkins; dearest daughter of the late Evelyn Trayanoff (nee Myers) and Nicholas Trayanoff Sr.; loving sister of the late Nicholas (surviving Christa) Trayanoff Jr.; dear aunt of Nicholas Trayanoff III.
Lyn was born on February 6, 1951 in St. Louis, Missouri to Nicholas and Evelyn Trayanoff.
Lyn accepted Christ into her heart and was an active member of Community Bible Church of Pevely. She took great joy in serving, especially at VBS each summer.
Shortly after graduating from Bishop DuBourg High School, she met the love of her life, Bill. They married in 1973 and shared 50 wonderful years together. After raising her children, Lyn worked as a realtor. She took joy in finding the perfect house for all her clients, for whom she genuinely cared.
Lyn was known for her kind smile, positive attitude, selfless disposition and unwavering faith.
In her free time, Lyn enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, cooking, baking, and shopping. She had a profound love for people, which was made apparent in everything she did.
SERVICES: A celebration of life service will be held at the Community Bible Church of Pevely on Saturday, July 27th at 10:30 am. 600 Riverview Drive, Pevely, MO 63070
“What you leave behind is not what is engraved in stone monuments but what is woven into the lives of others.” Thucydides
I will always remember my cousin Linda, who lived right down the street from me as my other big sister. She took me shopping, taught me how to dance, bake, etc. She always had time for me. I cherish those memories.
My family first met Lyn at our church CBC of Pevely. She was devoted to everything she did and everyone around her. She always had a smile for everyone and a kind word to say to bring you into the group and make you feel good. God has gained an angel in Lyn. She was good to all. We are missing her at VBS this week. She was always so involved and a part of everything at church. Her presence was always positive and beautiful! Love and prayers for those she left behind, however we know she is in the presence of Jesus. The Griggs Family
Lyn was a beautiful, kind and compassionate person. An inspiration to everyone she knew. She always had uplifting conversations with all of her fellow realtors at Berkshire Hathaway Alliance. Together with her husband Bill,
they were the perfect couple and always worked together to achieve their goals. She will be greatly missed by me, and I am sure, by all the people that knew her in our real estate office.
I mostly remember Lyn’s infectious smile and “can do” attitude that enabled her to succeed in so many areas of life. She was always upbeat and added joy to any gathering. I miss her.
