Hinchcliff, Jeannine Shirley

Jeannine Shirley Hinchcliff was born on January 11, 1932. She was 92 years old when she was promoted to heaven on May 8th, 2024. The number 8 in the Bible stands for “New Beginnings”.  She leaves her two children; her son, Mark Matthew Hinchcliff, married to his wife, Phyllis;  her daughter, Deborah Jeannine (Johnson) Sooter, married to her husband, Tom; sister, Kathlene Williams; brother, Johnny Williams; 6 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews & friends. Deceased son Steven Bruce Hinchcliff; husband, William Jefferson Hinchcliff.

Although tenderhearted, loving children and pets, she went through her share of hard times. Raised during World War II she went through the difficult years of war. As a child she was hit by a drunk driver and suffered the loss of most of her hearing and went through many surgeries. She received her GED from high school and became a CNA nurse. Her oldest son Steven was killed in a car wreck when he was 17. The difficulties of Life brought her to know Jesus Christ as her Savior when she was in her mid 40s. She became a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Saint Clair, MO. She moved with her daughter, Deborah, to Ft Dodge, IA in November 1999. There she became a member of the Harvest Baptist Church, Ft dodge, IA. In 2020 she moved back to St. Louis Missouri with her grandson Jamin and his family. She passed while in the care of the de Greeff Hospice House, St. Louis, MO.

Visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel, 10151 Gravois, on Friday, May 10, 11:00 AM until funeral service at 12:30 PM. Interment Park Lawn Cemetery, 1800 Lemay Ferry Rd., St. Louis, MO 63125.
