Horn, Leslie June (nee Ragsdale)

 

daughter of the late Lester Clarence and Edna Pearl (Young) Ragsdale; was born on August 10, 1930 in  Farmington, MO and passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at the age of 86.  On April 12, 1953, she was united in  marriage to Firmin Leroy Horn, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was a  sister Martha Beatrice Laws; a brother John William Ragsdale, a brother-in-law Thomas David Laws and one nephew Michael Ragsdale. Surviving are two daughters Ellen Lee Horn of Hickory, NC and Linda Susan Schriever of Crestwood, MO; one son-in-law Michael Wayne Schriever; one niece Mary Ellen McDowell and husband Jason; three nephews Stephen Laws and wife Trudy, John Ragsdale and Charles Wiley; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Mildred and Pete Wiley and sister-in-law Joan Rhodes.

Leslie graduated from Farmington High School in 1948 and attended Flat River Jr. College in Flat River, MO (now Park Hills)  and Georgetown College in Georgetown, KY. She was employed as Secretary to the Alumni Director of Washington University and later as Office Manager of Aatlas Track Construction Company. Her most loved hobby was square dancing.

Services: Visitation at KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL, 10151 Gravois, Tuesday, June 13, from 9:30 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Hillview Cemetery (Farmington, MO) at 2:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Missouri or SSM Health Hospice and Home Health Foundation.
