Glenn Albert House passed away September 6, 2026. He was born January 7, 1959 in Ponce, Puerto Rico (where his father worked as a shoe designer) to Gary A. House and Emogene F. House Trossauer (both deceased). Glenn is also preceded in death by his stepfather, Joseph E. Trossauer.
Glenn married Kathy House (nee Burian) on May 30, 1981 and they shared 45 years of marriage. They have two beautiful daughters: Sarah House Buckowitz (Donnie) and Emily House.
Glenn is survived by his brothers, Gary House (Paula) and Gordon House and was a loving father-in-law, step-grandfather, son-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend to many.
Glenn valued hard work and retired from General Motors in March, 2020 after 35 years and was a proud member of UAW Local 2250.
Glenn was a loving father to his “girls” who brought him so much pride and joy. By example, he taught them to be kind, respectful and hard-working.
Glenn made friends easily and once you were his friend, it was for life! He loved to laugh (mostly at himself) and have a good time. He and Kathy loved to entertain family and friends at their home in Oakville where he carefully maintained the yard and pool to perfection!
Glenn loved to travel and see new things but his “happy place” was in Owensville, Missouri at property he called “the farm.” It was there that he loved to hunt and fish, take walks in the woods, feed the animals and take care of everything. There he could escape from the stresses of everyday life in the fresh country air with his people.
At the end of 2025, Glenn was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, which is the most aggressive type of brain tumor. Although Glenn completed all of the treatment options available to him, there is a lack of targeted therapy for Glioblastoma patients. His prognosis from the beginning was guarded and we were blessed to have 8 months with him before cancer took him too soon. He passed peacefully at Mercy South – DeGreeff Hospice House, where he received compassionate, dignified end of life care.

A memorial visitation will be held at Kutis South County (5255 Lemay Ferry Road) on Friday, September 18, 2026 from 3 p.m. until service at 5 p.m.
